I first became a client at Queen Street Dental in 2003, when my dentist, who had been looking after my teeth since the 1960s, joined the practice.
The following year I needed repair work for broken front teeth and was transferred to Philip Brake, a dental surgeon at the above practice. He has now taken over my dental care. I am impressed with his commitment to being at the cutting edge of his profession, his skill and knowledge, and his willingness to explain, in detail, his recommendations for my dental care while leaving the final decision to me.
He has always acted in a friendly but professional manner and this tone is reflected throughout the practice. The hygenist and desk staff are always positive, efficient and helpful. In mid 2008 I needed some urgent dental care, and they went to great lengths to ensure that I was attended to promptly.

I have been with Geoff King since 1994, and since then I have had a variety of treatments from root canal, capping, cosmetic straightening, cerec fillings and regular hygienist treatments. Geoff has a very professional and caring approach that addresses my every requirement and concerns, he does this with respect and consideration throughout the entire procedure together with ongoing advice as to what is happening and why, he is the most gentle dentist I have ever encountered.

Lesley Turner Hall has been my Dental Hygienist since 2001 when we both arrived in NZ. Like most Americans, I am very particular about my teeth and feel fortunate to have had superior dental care all my life. I was thrilled to meet my northern neighbour Lesley, and feel the quality of care she provides even exceeds what I was used to in the US. We've been through a quite extensive period of dental treatment over the last few years to resolve some long put off issues.

I recently had a cleaning with Lesley and myself being a Canadian trained dental hygienist with over 10 years of experience working in a periodontal practise, it was one of the best cleanings I have ever had. Lesley had cleaned my teeth years ago in Canada but I forgot just how excellent of a hygienist she is. She has an excellent technique that provides a thorough but pain free experience. She has a wealth of knowledge to share and her passion for her profession is obvious. Lesley's past work experience includes working in a periodontal office which provides her with a true understanding for periodontal disease in early diagnosis and treatment. I highly recommend Lesley for your dental hygiene care.

Initially, my teeth needed a lot of work and so I spent a lot of time with Phil, who made many replacement fillings as fun and pain free as possible. Now, Lesley ensures I never have to see Phil, which is even better! Lesley is a great hygienist, very professional and super enthusiastic. You can tell she loves teeth, but she also loves people. I initially arrived at Queen Street Dental early in 2000 as recommended by one of Geoff King's patients. Since then my teeth and gums have been totally cared for by Geoff and Lesley.
I always feel as if I am being listened to at Queen Street Dental, Geoff has a way of settling the nerves and negotiating what is to be done. Then he quickly gets to work with the most up to date dentistry equipment I have ever seen. For Root Canals, Amalgam filling replacement, Cerec crowns and laser cleaning I always felt in good professional hands. For those with a phobia, Geoff will make your fears go away.
I was introduced to Lesley for ongoing maintenance of my gums. I had never heard of the "Hygienist" role in dentistry before and so Lesley explained not only what she was going to do, but why. The enthusiasm Lesley shows for her job and the care that she takes has resulted in my looking forward to my appointments. My whole of mouth health has improved so much that I no longer worry about the ability to chew (as I was doing before I came to Queen Street Dental.)

How often do you hear people say they are happy to visit their dental practice – I am pleased to say I can! I have been in the superb care of Queen Street Dental for 35 years! My dentist Phil Brake is a tremendously friendly guy and shows the utmost professionalism and keeps in the vanguard of dentistry techniques. For the last 10 years I have had the good fortune to have Lesley Turner- Hall as my hygienist - she is truly amazing. It is down to her that my visits to Phil have become more of a pat on the back - she makes my teeth look that good! The longer I can stave off any big bills and keep my fangs in top working condition the better - sorry Phil ;-) Lesley is such an effervescent person. Her ebullient nature is infectious. I am in awe of her sporting achievements outside her professional life – she is an exemplary person.
